Value Added Reseller (VAR) agreement expands OptiCool’s footprint and adds liquid cooling technology to the SHI product lineup
OptiCool Technologies, a leading provider of data center liquid cooling systems, today announced it has entered into a Value Added Reseller (VAR) agreement with SHI International, one of North America’s largest IT solutions providers. This agreement will help fuel OptiCool’s ambitious market expansion and growth, while enhancing SHI’s IT solutions with a sustainable data center cooling offering.
A recent report from the US Department of Energy (DOE) found that data centers consumed 4.4% of total US electricity in 2023. This is forecasted to grow to 6.7-12% by 2028. Virtually all that power is converted to heat by the IT equipment, and this heat must be continuously removed. New data center infrastructure requires high efficiency cooling systems for both performance and sustainable operations.
“SHI has built a reputation for working closely with customers through the design and build phases to develop tailored solutions that address real-world challenges,” said Matthew Roberts, VP Sales at OptiCool. “They’re not just pushing products—they’re solving problems. That approach aligns perfectly with how OptiCool engages in the market, and we’re excited to partner with an organization that shares our commitment to delivering meaningful results.”
